Thank you, Henry County, for helping make our 2024 Arbor Day Tree Giveaway a success! Over 1000 seedlings of Native Sweet Pecan, Persimmon, Overcup Oak, White Oak, Pin Oak and Virginia Pine were given away to our community!

Scholarships Available!

The Henry County SWCD offers three $500 scholarships each year. These scholarships are open to all students in Henry County planning to major and pursue a career in Agriculture or Natural Resources.

The Henry County Soil & Water Conservation District Scholarship is available to a graduating senior who plans to enroll in a college or university by Fall 2024. The Charles W. "Dickie" Memorial Scholarship is available to any Henry County TN resident who is currently enrolled or plans to enroll in a college or university by Fall 2024.
Applications are available at the SWCD office and at Henry County High School. It provides access to the largest natural resource information system in the world and is operated by the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
